Set within the conservation area of the coastal town of Hythe, the project comprises the change of use of an existing single storey Victorian school building to residential use and the building of new homes in the former playground.

The conversion will accommodate 12 maisonettes with external alterations sympathetic to the surroundings. The new construction comprises 7 terraced town houses with associated parking, 4 town houses with integral garages, 2 x two storey blocks of flats containing a further 10 units.  These additional homes, totalling 33, will be available for the local community.

The new build element will be subject to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, and the conversion will acheive 'very good' status under the Governments Eco Homes directive.
